At Grassfield Sports Academy, our mission goes beyond delivering daily training drills on the pitch—we strive to ignite ambition, foster discipline, and show our young players that a path to top-tier professional football is truly attainable. Recently, our training sessions were filled with immense energy and pride as we had the honor of welcoming two distinguished Cameroonian professional footballers to commune with and inspire our squad.
Welcoming 2024 Cameroon Ballon d’Or Winner John Bosco Nchindo
Among our esteemed guests was John Bosco Yong Nchang Nchindo, a celebrated figure in Cameroonian sports. Currently showcasing his talents as an attacking midfielder for Gulf United FC in the United Arab Emirates, John Bosco reached the pinnacle of domestic football when he was crowned winner of the 2024 Cameroon Ballon d’Or—an accolade honoring him as the absolute best player in the domestic top-flight league (Elite One).

Having a player of John Bosco’s stature stand on our field and share his journey offered an invaluable experience to our young squad. His message to the players highlighted the critical role that mental resilience, tactical awareness, and relentless work ethic play in transitioning from local academy fields to international contract signings.
Yuh Moses Shares Technical Mastery

Adding to the inspiration, the academy was thrilled to host Yuh Moses (born June 6, 2003), a dynamic 23-year-old Cameroonian professional midfielder currently playing for Romanian Liga III club CS Bihorul Beiuș 1921.
Known for his technical execution and precise set-piece deliveries, Yuh Moses has built a solid reputation as a dangerous free-kick and corner-kick specialist. During his time with our players, he shared technical advice on dead-ball delivery, decision-making under pressure, and the dedication needed to adapt and excel in European league football.
Bridging Grassroots Football and Professional Success
Direct interactions with active professionals like John Bosco Nchindo and Yuh Moses serve as a powerful bridge between grassroots preparation and elite achievement. When our young athletes hear firsthand accounts of the discipline required to reach the top, their goals become clearer and their determination stronger.
We extend our sincere gratitude to both John Bosco and Yuh Moses for taking time out of their schedules to visit Grassfield Sports Academy, encourage our squad, and support the growth of the next generation of football talent.
